Test papers are used for the qualitative determination of ions and chemical substances. They provide the information whether a component is present above the defined limit of detection. Test strips are used for the semi-qualitative determination of various parameters.

Each tub of test strips comes in a plastic container generally holding either 25, 50 or 100 strips. The strips have long shelf life and are easy to use and all results are reported as mg/l (ppm) unless otherwise stated.

HandyStep® S and PD-tips work on the direct displacement principle. This offers the highest-precision dispensing of liquid media with high viscosity, high density, or high vapour pressure. Direct displacement permits contamination-free operation, since no aerosols are formed.

HandyStep® S TITRATION GUN

The HandyStep® S titration gun has been designed to allow very accurate testing of key parameters important in the chemical treatment programme. The titration gun uses a special syringe fixed to a 3 way valve that has the titration dispensing tube and a luer lock connector for the 20ml titration cartridge.

The HandyStep® S gun has 5 settings allowing you to change the amount of titrant being added giving you great flexibility in the speed of the test and the result you obtain.

The parameter range is listed below. When ordering an Engineers Test Kit housed in an Aluminium case, the kit comes complete with 2 x 20ml cartridges for each parameter.

Titration Gun & Reagents

The following list of reagents are for use with the HandyStep® S titration gun. This is used in various water testing applications including Potable, Process, Industrial Boilers & Cooling Systems, Swimming Pool and Waste Water treatment. Each titration parameter uses the standard buffers and indicators shown in the drop test section. When using titration you just replace the dropper bottle titrant with the titration cartridge.
